Parents sign the season waiver from home. Coaches are not collecting carbon copies at the first practice.
Clubs and leagues need a sports waiver, parental consent, and often a photo release for team pages. Travel teams may also need field-trip or minor travel consent for away games.
Put the links in the registration email. Submissions shows who is still outstanding before uniforms are ordered.
Name the sport and the season on the form. Generic 'athletics' language is weaker than soccer, lacrosse, or swim risks you actually run.
